Local members Nominated for Sportsperson of the Year – Hay

SSAA (Hay) Branch Inc has nominated 3 of its members for their 2012 achievements in Shotgun shooting for the Hay Sportsperson of the Year Awards to be held this Saturday night the 23rd March at the Hay Bowling & Golf Club.

Nominee:  Darren Macartney. His most outstanding achievement for 2012 was the Overall & High Gun winner at the NSW 5-Stand State Titles and being selected into the NSW team as shooter No. 1 along with his other successes for the year at various events throughout NSW, VIC & ACT.

Nominee:  Casey was successful in winning the NSW 5-Stand Titles for Ladies and Runner-up National Title Ladies, F&G Side x Side “C” Grade Champion, a great achievement as she had never use this gun before.  Casey also had sucess at other events throughout NSW, VIC & ACT.

Nominee:  Jan Jacka. Jan’s most outstanding effort for 2012 was runnerup NSW 5-Stand Ladies champion and then the Overall  National 5-Stand Ladies Title, and then being selected in the Grade Australian Team to represent New Zealand in November this year.

100 Target Golden Fleece This Weekend (17th Mar)

This Sunday 17th March we will be holding a 100 target OTG event starting at 9.30am.  The Golden Fleece event  is sponsored by Jacka Excavator & Truck Hire (Pete & Jan).  Two grounds will be set, Ground A – utilising the tower and Ground B using the trees at the west.

Canteen will be running all day.
