Local shooters do well at the SSAA (NSW) Sporting Clay State Titles held at the SSAA Griffith range on the weekend.Darren Macartney from Hay Branch was the overall winner at the end of the weekend with a 2 target lead.

The event was 150 targets over the 2 days.The range setters set some great challenging targets around the hill, if you weren’t shooting well, you at least got some exercise walking up and down the hill.

Shooters came from all over the state to contest the title, Temora, Canberra, West Wyalong, Hay, Naradhan, Narrandera, and of course the local Griffith members.

Hay members were in the top 3 shooters were only 2 targets apart from each other:  Darren Macartney – 126, Frank Tagliepetria – 124 (Griffith), & Peter Jacka – 122
